Best PC Build Under ₹20,000 for Gaming

Many of you guys want to build a PC, but you don’t know where to get started, which parts to use, and your budget is very low.  So, if you are stuck with 20,000 INR and want to build a gaming PC that gives decent performance, then I got you covered.

So, we are going to build a PC that can give you 50+ FPS in 720p and 30+ FPS in 1080p in Modern AAA game titles. Yes, this PC can do decent gaming, and I personally own the same build.

Also, we are not using a graphics card so you can add a graphics card later and easily play any modern AAA at 60 FPS.

But wait, how can you play games without a graphics card? The answer is APU, let’s check what an APU exactly is.

What is an APU?

An APU, also known as Accelerated Processing Unit is a combination of CPU and GPU. It is designed in such a way that they both can work together.

Now you know what an APU is let’s check the best APU’s available in the market.

So, the two best APU’s are:

  • Ryzen 3 2200g
  • Ryzen 5 2400g

For this build, we are using the Ryzen 3 2200g as it is more value for money. Now if you have a little more budget, then you can go with the Ryzen 5 2400g. But except for the logical cores, there is not much difference between them.

Ryzen 3 2200g has 4 cores 4 threads whereas Ryzen 5 2400g has 4 cores 8 threads. Also, Ryzen 3 has Vega 8, and Ryzen 5 has Vega 11 which is like 5% of more performance than Vega 8, so not worth it as the price difference is huge.

Ryzen 3 2200g price – 7,500 – 8,000 INR

Ryzen 5 2400g price – 13,000- 14,000 INR

Components For Budget Gaming PC Build

Now, let’s start with the components we are using for the Build.

APU – Ryzen 3 2200g (8,000)

It is the best budget gaming APU, It has 4 core 4 threads processor clocked at 3.5 GHz and Max boast clocked at 3.7 GHz. Comes with Integrated Graphics of 2 GB which is clocked at 1100 MHZ. Good enough to play 90% of the games.

Motherboard – Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H (3,850)

It is the cheapest AM4 Motherboard. It comes with two RAM slots which support up to 32 GB RAM (2400 MHZ/3200 OC)

It comes with an M.2 SSD Slot and all other important features. Make sure to check if the BIOS is updated for Ryzen 3 2200g.

You can also go with ASUS EX-A320M Gaming AMD Motherboard or ASUS Prime A320M-K Motherboard.

RAM – Corsair 8 GB 3000MHZ (3,900)

Since Ryzen APU requires a high-frequency RAM, this RAM is great. It is clocked at 3000 MHZ. If you can, you should go with 2×4 GB RAM sticks. As Dual-channel RAM really bumps up the performance of integrated GPU.

HDD – Seagate 7200 RPM 1TB (3,000) or Kingston 240 GB SSD (2,480)

Here I have given three choices either you could go with any 1 TB HDD of 7200 RPM or a 240 GB SSD. If you want to go with SSD, then I would recommend going for 128 GB SSD + a 500 GB Hard drive. You can choose according to your budget.

Cabinet + PSU – Circle Cabinet with PSU 400 Watts (1600)

As we are on a budget, we can’t go for a fancy tempered glass cabinet. Circle sells some decent cabinets under 2,000 INR. The best part is the cabinet comes with power supply, so you don’t need to buy an external power supply.

In case if you don’t find a cabinet with PSU, then you can go with circle 400 PSU which costs around 800 Rupees.

Total Price for Budget Gaming PC Build – 20,350 INR

Since the Prices fluctuate, the price may vary. I highly recommend you to buy the parts offline as it’s way cheaper than online prices. I got Ryzen 3 2200g for 7,200 when compared to online it was 8,100 INR.

Do You Have Some Money Left?

If you have some money left then which part you should spend? Well, I had the same situation, and I spent it on an overclockable motherboard which I regret. Because you can’t overclock the CPU/GPU on the stock cooler, you need to buy an advance cooler which will cost 2-3k more. So totally not worth it.

Here are some parts which you can add if you have the extra money.

SSD – The prices of SSD are getting cheaper now, you can buy a 120 GB SSD for 1,800 INR. The speed of SSD will make a huge difference.

A Case – A good PC case is very important. As we were on a budget, I recommended a Circle cabinet which is great, but it becomes congested for a first time PC builder. If you have around 2.5-3k, then I would recommend going with a good case which has ample amount of space.

Future Scope

As you know this PC build is future proof, you can add up to a 1070 graphics card, and it won’t bottleneck.

My recommendation of graphics cards would be GTX 1650, RX 470 or GTX 1050ti.
